Calm before the storm

The New Years have come with no hassle in Spotas. Why? Well, we could try to justify by saying we were really busy after Aiste got back to Lithuania and I’ve moved to Mexico, or maybe put all the responsibility on the creative crisis, that is closely related to being busy. But to say the truth – we simply needed some holidays. Hey, you get your weeks off, right? And what could be better than Christmas and New Years?

Holidays are for rest, but the clock is ticking and there’s no time to waste. Be sure, February is bringing some new and fresh updates for Spotas. At the end – it’s the real birthday (not some half-birthday). I don’t want to tease you, but I think that most of you didn’t forget about our last weeks in Brazil. Aside of being lazy we’ve also made quite some video shooting. So be sure, hard drives are spinning faster than Youri Zoon himself and Brazilian kitesurfing adventure little by little is finding it’s way to become a short video story.

At the same time I’m very glad that Santa Claus was very good this year for Spotas. My camera is clothed with Kata clothes which will protect ir from the sand and salt. Photo camera received a bikini for a present :) Though very simple, however, water proof Opteka water housing. I have tested it back in Taiba.

You can’t expect superb quality and convenience from the very simple water housing. Still this one has everything you need – you can easily reach photo camera control and manually change focal length and focus. That is very important since filming photo cameras don’t have automatic focus systems yet.

That’s it for now. More coming soon.
