Body language

Body language – mystic thing that civilized world nows much about but never uses. Every few years there is a book published about it. That states that body language can be (if used) very beneficial is used and manipulated. Especially in your professional career. However, at most this book is never used. It sits in some dusty shelf of books and that’s it. Body language is not necessary in civilized world. Everything here can be told or written down.
However, when you live in a distant country and especially when you learn an unknown language, you are forced to use body language all the time. While you try to apprehend the unknown language all of you senses get tensed. Listening, seeing as well as intuition. You use intuition much more often than ever. If you don’t understand something that is being said, you try to use your intuition, read from the stance, gestures. Naturally you begin to understand what gesture means what. You start to analyze all the looks. You start to notice all the movements of the hands. You start to understand all the lights you see in the eyes. And this comes naturally. Without any book. It becomes necessary to understand.
Sometimes it seems that you have reached the level when you understand more than it is being said. Not from the words but from the atmosphere that you are just flouting in.
I would have never thought that I will develop the senses like that. However, it seems that my good friend Lina is right – everything turns out to be for the best. In this and in the other, more civilized, world.
