A little grain of joy

Even though this last week didn’t bring any wind at all and unexpectedly we have got busy with some random stuff, we have always kept our finger on the pulse of our first documentary “open La Ventana” results. And we are really surprised.

Some life, business and video projects takes all my time, so I still had no chance to put together the technical overview of La Ventana. I guess, that some tips and ideas might be really interesting for young videographers. However, today I can tell you for sure, that this was quite a tiring project. On top of regular creative struggle (not enough footage, poor quality, etc) our lifestyle and being on the way most of the time has caused some serious discomfort. Just to find some time to sit down and concentrate was much harder than I have expected. And when you have power failure and the electricity in our little Brazilian village is gone – all the inspiration evaporates. Also, watching the very same interview (I know them by heart in original language and tone), the same footage, the same mistakes you are not able to fix – every single day the project seems less and less attractive.

That’s why all the feedback we’re receiving after the movie was launched was a sweet cookie for my praise thirsty personality. Just in five days visits of Spotas have reached almost the result of the month! On Vimeo and embed on other sites the movie (till the end) was reviewed two thousand times! We receive a lot of positive feedback. Visitor analysis proves that everyone who likes it -  shares this movie with their friends! The movie is making it’s way through world kitesurfing (and other) forums and websites too.

This is very important. Especially when I know that I can do much better than that! I’m literally on fire to go and meet our Lithuanian friends that are staying just a 100 km East and work with some new project. This time, we will enrich the culture views not with freeriding but some serious action!
