Hit the road

So, once again, you come here to read this travel blog and don’t understand where is that traveling? We sit in some small Mexican village (which is not even marked on a globe, by the way) all winter long and pretend to be travelers. I agree – enough! Time to hit the road!

The route is not so logical from the first sight. Still I bet it’s gonna be interesting! Today we fly from La Ventana to Vancouver, Canada. It’s gonna be cold, brrr. With some help of our student Cooper we’ll try to buy a very cheap camper van that will become our home for April. And who knows, maybe even longer… Anyway, once we got wheels – we’ll definitely make it spinning! We still have unfinished business here in Baja, actually – we still want to catch some waves on the Pacific, so we’re gonna drive down through the whole west coast of Northern America. Final stop (well, actually not THE final) is going to be the same La Ventana. It is interesting what we’re gonna find here. It is already totally empty!

After we fix our haircut in Vancouver, we’ll go to visit some friends in Seattle, check kite/windsurfing industry in Gorge – Hood River, we’ll stop by to check Pistol River -the spot where the Wave Bash is gonna happen this June, make a picture with Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, take a look at Santa Monica baywatch posts, pretend to be famous in Los Angeles traffic jams and finally will try to get through the drug and weapon traffic on San Diego – Tijuana boarder.

What’s next – nobody knows. We plan to reach La Ventana in the very end of April. In the beginning of May we already have to be on the other shore. But we’ll come back later to that..

Unfortunately we don’t bring internet with us, but if some will be hitchhiking or laying on a sidewalk – we will definitely keep YOU posted and pictured! For now you can check few pictures of our last days of hard work here in Ventana Bay resort.
