Coming up: Spotas Reflections

Winter came to Lithuania and I have started to browse my photo and video gallery from tropic countries more often. I was travelling and filming for almost two years, however when I came back to Lithuania I had to switch to “modern” XXI century routine. This really kicked me of balance and it was very hard to find time for Spotas. I feel bad about it, but I know that once I’ll get organised again, Spotas is coming back stronger than ever! But for now – just a short preview of an upcoming video project.

“Spotas Reflections: Caleb” was edited exceptionally for an extreme sports film festival in Australia. It is a part of a longer film from Punta Abreojos, Mexico. However, festival organisers didn’t succeed to collect the budget and cancelled the festival. It’s a pity, but on the other hand it means I can present this short film to you sooner that I have planned. And while I still have some work to do with finishing it and subtitling, take a look at some screen shots from the video.

I met Caleb two years ago. We have shared waves in Abreojos, we went fishing together, even played golf (at least some of us did)! He’s a professional skier and he managed to become #3 in the world rankings at his time!

Despite the fact that he’s exceptional “snow-man”, his skills on a windsurfer are quite impressive too.

On top of that I might add that soundtrack was created specially for this clip by Justinas Jarutis, 2011 best Lithuanian rock band guitarist and lead singer. I hope you’ll agree that wind, waves and guitars makes a good set!
